The mindset the dark place

Post by DarrenW29 »

train hard when you next go to the gym stick headphones in put a hat on wear a baggy jumper and work your ass off the gym isn’t for social gatherings nowadays very few train hard and hard I mean intensity sweat dripping today you see phones out plenty talking

For me I always know what I’m about to train my workouts logged and my mindset is pure focus I do not talk at all during my workout I go to train extremely hard and if you want to talk we can after the session

The mindset to push hard train intense go to that dark place is what is needed to progress make the gym fun but just remember you break the muscle down in the gym you need to push yourself in every workout you might have some poor workouts but there is still no excuse to train intense and hard don’t just chase the weight either form controlled squeezing

Watch the 90-2000 guys kevin levrone jay cutler flex wheeler to name a few the mindset we all need that dark place so remember hat headphones jumper and get to WORK

I think you can have a happy medium. 75% of the time I'm all business. I have my headphones blasting, I keep to myself, and the only time I really interact with anyone is to ask them how many more sets they have or if I can work in. There's a select few people at my gym that I'm actually friends with and will give the time of day. I'll shoot the shit with them in between sets but we all have an understanding that we are there to train so we keep the chats brief. It's just an unspoken agreement that you only talk briefly between sets and when the other person begins a set you shut right up. Often times one of us will just begin a set mid-conversation and the other one knows to respect that and shut-up and pause the conversation until he is finished. Let's be honest, generally speaking humans are social beings and will connect with each other over common interests. I don't see anything wrong with shooting the shit with a gym buddy in between sets as long as neither of you is distracting one another or hurting their workout. Most of us do not, and will not ever make money off our physiques so to take it THAT seriously as a recreational bodybuilder is kinda lame in my opinion.

If you have a training partner then yeah but I train alone and prefer that I don’t ego lift so no need for someone spotting every rep

always be polite smile obviously

But to me it’s work regardless not a social place to talk so I don’t agree but you see the ones who work hard and make progress and the ones that do not and can’t understand why they aren’t as big or look the same year after year plus if your training extremely hard you shouldn’t be able to talk don’t rest 5 minutes a set less rest keep it intense there’s no time to talk your covered in sweat gasping and the pump is like nothing else and you repeat that set again 40-60 seconds later 3 sets then move on to the next I do high volume 25-40 sets low rest intensity moderate weight I train extremely hard.

This is bodybuilding not powerlifting.

Time as changed , before social medias athletes earn money from sponsors just to train and eat like animals , now to be sponsored you need to promote , do the work on social medias if not you lose sponsorship . We need to adapt to times . And of course doing that is not easy to be totally focus on workout and diet because you always have something to do ( picture , video )
