Re: Cyclical diet
I've tried different kinds, flexible dieting to strict dieting, 0 carb, high carb, low carb, medium carb.
Talking from experience, the best ones FOR ME were flexible dieting while bulking, high protein, medium carb and low fat. (Flexible but normaly eating the same foods at same time).
To lean out i preffer very high protein, carbs around training time and low fat, with strict dieting, i mean bodybuilder meals, eggs and egg whites, fruits around training, whey protein, white fish or tuna, chicken and red meat. Low carb on non training days.

In my opinion fats dont make sence in bodybuilder diet mostly if he uses anabolics and insulin , so the goal is bulking with high carbs and high protein , cutting carbs only before and after workout

Re: Cyclical diet
Hi,
I hope you don’t think I’m butting in, but if your cutting I’d recommend having high carbs and protein during and after training, as this is the optimal time to get it into the muscle cells. I’d keep the carbs intake to a window of 8-10 hours, then High protein and some fat thereafter, restricting carbs for 14-16 hours will help maintain insulin sensitivity. A lot depends on how often and when you take insulin, but if you’re goal is to lose body fat, it’s all down to calories in and calories out. Cycling 2 weeks of high calorie reduction followed by 2 weeks of normalised calorie intake is a good way to go and prevent muscle loss.
That’s my take anyway for what it’s worth.
Cheers

Re: Cyclical diet
The science said after 3 days of extreme low carbs and calories you need to carb load to keep muscle mass and metabolic rate active . That way today alot athletes use the cyclical or 3 days low 1 high ( depends on condition of athlete )
But for bulking do you believe in cyclical or just eat more and more?????
